 | Cadenza Vagabundos add one night, Closing Party now penciled in for the 3rd October. Cadenza’s ‘Vagabundos’ night at Pacha has turned in to the success story of Ibiza 2010. As if to emphasise the point, Sundays at Pacha witnessed Luciano revive his Lucien-N-Luciano moniker for the first time in five years, there were live sets by Dantom Eeprom, Guillaume and the coutu Dumont, Maaya Nidam, Ryan Crosson, Martinez, Marc antona, Stimming Live, Stacey pullen, D Julz, Reboot and Luciano himself, mad cap performances by Parisian trio dOP, Ibizan exclusives and first time visits from the likes of Moodyman and Theo Parrish and Detroit techno wizardry supplied in abundance by Carl Craig.  | It's no exaggeration to say that Cadenza's Vagabundos party has provided the talking point of Ibiza 2010. In merely a matter of weeks, Luciano and his merry men have etched their way in to the islands clubbing folklore, earning rave reviews for the manner with which their unique blend of house and techno music has captivated the Pacha audience on Sunday nights.In a move befitting of their Spanish name which literally translates as ‘travellers’, the Cadenza crew are now spreading their mad cap shows outside of the White Isle, with Holland’s iconic Mysteryland the first stop on ten worldwide dates penciled in over the course of the next twelve or so months. Held this year on the 28th August, the oldest dance music festival in the lowlands has morphed in to something of a right of passage for the techno obsessed Dutch, and in turn looks set to provide a fitting introduction to life on the road for the Cadenza collective. more Information |

| DARIA RELEASE ON CADENZA LAB "SANTERIA" | |
 | For its third release, Cadenza Lab goes local, presenting an old friend from the Geneva scene. Daria's name has been rising for a while now, thanks to her Weetamix residency, her appearances at clubs like Watergate, Harry Klein and Bar 25, and her two South American tours—as well, of course, as her participation in many a Cadenza showcase. Her Santería EP captures Daria's unique and captivating fusion of electronic and organic elements. Imagine yourself in an overgrown garden, butterflies overhead, bees buzzing, flowers in full bloom: that's the vibe of "Flores Biancas," which garlands an intricate, skipping house groove with organ stabs, plinking harp melodies, and strange, backwards effects. It's hard to imagine house music sounding dreamier or more graceful, but deep, muscular bass tones mean that it holds its own on any dance floor. "Gauchito Gil" leaves the garden to go wandering across the Argentine pampa, with subtly effected voice and wisps of violins blowing like a cool, refreshing wind. Delicate kalimba melodies play off against enveloping bass, almost overwhelmingly sensual. "Difunta Correa" plays with similar ideas, but rolling Latin percussion and sampled jazz drums add presence and rhythmic urgency—it's a daydream that sweeps you up from your head to your feet, with a breakdown that feels like an out-of-body experience. It's the kind of track that open-airs were invented for. Finally, Geneva's Lee Van Dowski turns up with an edit of "Gauchito Gil" that leaves its sounds and structure intact, adding a weightier kick drum and more forceful percussion, and turning Daria's reverie into a full-on stormer.  | Luca Agnelli is a dj in constant evolution, that has done of variety of styles his trademark, experimenting uncommon paths and inventing innovative languages. He has done remixes for Claude Von Stroke, Flat Pack, Meg and others, he has realized ep for some of the most representative international labels like MBF, Dirty Bird, LaTerra, Manocalda, Takt, Mazoom. Now, a new experience, his own label, Etruria Beat Records, a name that emphasizes his vocation to be connected with his land, a style, and at same time, unmistakably Italian, but with a global vision. House, deep and techno that intersect, maintaining in the centre of his creative universe the concept of "emotion". As he says, "i love the music that sounds warmer and deeper, that has a soul."  | Cadenza's band of Vagabundos have put together the most exciting programming on Ibiza this summer, and this week they've got something extra-special planned: Luciano performs an exclusive live set as Lucien-N-Luciano, his first in five years. It's no exaggeration to say that Luciano's live sets of the early '00s have become the stuff of legend. Drawing upon a vast store of rhythms and loops, he turned extended improvisations into complex, moving, and breathtakingly kinetic sessions, both solo and alongside friends like Ricardo Villalobos and Dandy Jack; fans still eagerly trade his historic sessions online. And one of the best loved records in Luciano's catalog, 2002's Live at Weetamix, was in fact a live recording from Geneva's famed Weetamix club; to this day, it remains perhaps the definitive document of Luciano's early years, combining elements of minimal techno, Latin rhythms, and IDM into a seamless statement of futuristic house music. No other Lucien-N-Luciano live dates are scheduled for now, which makes this weekend's performance all the more special.  | Are you feeling energetic? Actually, don’t even bother answering. Because after hearing Robert Dietz’ “Soup Opera,” you’ll have stamina for days. It’s a charging, standup bass burner that puts house sounds to techno purposes; it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a rainstorm at the open-air-a monster, simply put, that leaves you drenched and grinning from ear to ear. Frankfurt’s Dietz has been on fire for the past couple of years, turning out tight, percussive and above all memorable tech-house concoctions for the likes of Runing Back and Cecille Numbers, but none of his productions to date have had the full-on intensity of “Soup Opera.” Tracklisting: a.
